Bye bye 2.0 Mustang slayer... hello vrs! ( question)

Featured Replies

Hey all,

The Fabia 2.0 is going on Monday and getting replaced by this car: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/154929-fabia-vrs-55-plate-fully-loaded-with-a-few-mods-4750. I will be transferring many of the chassis/ suspension mods from the 2.0 to the VRS.

My question is: Will the shocks I have on my car now (Koni adjustables - sports i think not FSD) work fine on the VRS? ( which has standard shocks and Apex -40mm)

Thanks.

I cant answer your question, however im sorry to hear of the downgrade in performance :D

:p they look better in the metal :)

I dont think the shocks will be any use , the TDI engine is a hell of a lot heavier thatn the petrols , so you will probably need a TDI shocker fitted.... unless anyone else out there knows different?

Definitely different, and the vRS lump is very heavy, also the 6 speed box adds a bit more weight IIRC - the suspension from the PD100 and vRS are different already, and they have a similar weight engine, so ;)

OK stock shocks it is! Thanks very much for the helpful info chaps - you just saved a big hassle of fitting them - finding out they don't work so well and refitting the standard!

vRS still getting "pimped" via a seat front strut, forge rear strut, jabba rear ARB and cupra bushes though :)
