New 2.0 TSI VRS

Featured Replies

HI

Have had my new Vrs for about 3 days now and have just noticed that 2 of the front parking sens have popped back into the bumper from the holes that they normally sit in. They appear to have some sort of sticky pads holding them in place which have gone dry.

I am taking back to dealer on monday but was wondering if any one has had this happen?

I know the sensors are not part of the bumper as such so they can be removed and changed if faulty but these seem poorly fixed?

Many Thanks

Mike

Mine are fixed fast, they seem to be in rubber washers to hold them in. Might be worth checking the bumpers not been resprayed during PDI. :S

Look at the screws to see if they look like they've been disturbed, look at the finish to the paint, does it look the same shade, any finish swirls or holograms on the bumper? Check the edges and around the bottom splitter, is there any rough edges or pitting? Compare it to the other bumper. Also check the panel gaps.

PS, now is a good time if you have an LED torch and its dry. Helps show up anything.

Just looked paint seems a good match and finish, screws seem fine.

Thanks for advice.
