all started two weeks ago on a trip to pick the girlfriend up for the airport for the car to fill the motorway with a puff of white smoke, and then a bit of blue and then no power, so i phone the girlfrined told her to get the bus home and then phone the breakdown people, so got the car to the workshop and pushed in onto the lift.

so the inspection started

gunge on the oil filler cap and the dipstick so thought headgasket but no water in the oil and no oil in the coolant tank, so ruled out headgasket problem,

next off with the sump and checked the bearing all are perfect so didn't know were to look so back to the head took the head off and still didnt see anything wrong, until i inspected my turbo to find the shaft was broken, thanks to cr turbos who repaired this hybrid as it was only four months old. so while the turbo was away i thought i'd take the engine out and check the pistons and bearings, and i sent the injectors away to be tested too, three are okay one needs replaced, so back to the pistons pistons 1 and 4 are fine pistons 2 and 3 have ovaled the bore and are extremly tight so need a set of pistons now.

anyway i'm lookin an engine to put in as this would let me get my own engine rebuilt and still have the car.. can anyone help

Tried the local breakers for a complete engine? Quiggs in rasharkin(Ballymena) told me they had 3 fabia vrs.

How many miles has it done?

One thing I find is that now you have split the engine, they never seem to be the same once they are back together?
