Mk1 vRS boot badge (+ a quick hello as new to the forum)

Featured Replies

New to the forum so thought I'd start off with a quick hello to everyone. Picked up my mk1 vRS a couple of weeks and, despite the little niggles, have so far found it a rather addictive performance bargain :). Have since been going through this forum with a fine tooth comb (it doesn't half feed the addiction!) I've got to say the depth of knowledge and the very helpful nature of people on here is quite brilliant!

Anyway, back to the topic, I was wondering if anyone knows where I could pick up a mk1 boot lid vRS badge? Local Skoda dealer could only quote for the mk2 badge but I want to keep things original (bit fussy like that + I actually prefer the mk1 version anyway), and the places I've managed to find on the net only sell it as part of a pack with the Octavia lettering for pretty extortionate prices.

Cheers guys

welcome!

ebay is a good start, or jorily who are one of the site sponsors

cheers for the speedy reply sweedish. have already checked out jorily and been scouring ebay for the last couple of weeks but so far no dice. these things seem to be rare as hens teeth!

Welcome :)

Welcome. :)

I may be wrong, but the early Mk1 Fabias came with the longer style badge too, which was the same as the Octavia.

Worth searching for a Fabia one too.

the badge comes with the octavia badge 1U6 853 687 AR LAQ is the part number its £15.83+vat not too expensive

@ vRSLEN, thanks mate.

i was just wondering about the Fabia one, Johnny, will keep an eye out for those too, nice one.

cheers for the info bond007. as you say not too bad, but still 16 quid for a badge ain't cheap! happy to spend the cash when needed, just have a bit of a problem with ruthlessly overpriced pieces of trim.
