I helped a Seat owner last night

Featured Replies

I was sitting on our taxi rank, when a guy came up the street and pulled over on the other side, I noticed him lift the bonnet and start poking around.

Curiosity got the better of me so I went over and he said he was loosing water and that he had just picked it up from the dealer and that he had just had a new sensor fitted as he had been having a problem with the coolant warning.

So gets torch out and has a butch ace, after checking all around the front and back suddenly I spot this part with wires attached to it just dangling there then found where it had come from but it would not stay in so checked again and found a rubber olive and a plastic cir-clip lying on the under tray refitted olive over it pushed it home then jiggles cir-clip on eventually, refilled the system with water and let it warm up topped it up a couple of times to make sure it had bled properly and off he went a happy bunny, I had to check my engine to find out where this sensore went though.

Is there a bleed screew on the water sytem somewhere???

Good work! I hope somebody would do this for me if i broke down, as i would have done the same!

If it is the PD engine, don take my word for it, but i am pretty sure it's autobled somehow?

I remember when my cambelt was done by VAG specialist in where i live, he just filled it up with the engine running and away it went....

Hope this is of some help to you!
