Superb Symphony tapedeck upgrade

Featured Replies

I've traded in my Fabia vRS for a 54 plate Superb 1.9 Comfort.

It has the Symphony Tape deck HU and 6 disc changer fitted. I want to upgrade the HU but keep the changer. Has anybody found an aftermarket HU that would allow this?

Any hep appreciated.

Id be curious to find this out as well. Is it a Blaupunkt unit? I have just replaced two of my door speakers and these were Blaupunkt.

Not sure, I thought that the Symphony was manufactured by Grundig so I thought that Sonu HU's could be compatible. Done some searching since asking the question this morning and the answer to my question seems to be that if you want the changer, the display and the steering whel controls to work, you have to put up with the symphony unit or be willing to spend more than a few hundred quid.

Resigned myself to getting a Connects2 and living with the tape deck.

The Symphony HU was produced by Technisat, afaik.

You could buy a refurbished MP3 CD Version of the original Symphony for around £130 (3560 czk) from the main Distributor for Skoda Stereos:
