It's a metal pipe and a (very) cheap and cheerful cone filter.

They're certainly cheaper than the likes of a Carbonio but worth swapping the cone filter on the end for a better one.

hi there, i have also purchased one of these and intend to change filter for a better one, just wondered if any could tell me exactly what im looking for ? also would it benefit me to change any of the other bits with this kit for better parts?

Hi there i have the same one,had it fora few years,i fitted a bmc cone filter,which is washable,never had any problems,i fitted the biggest filter i could get down there.dont know if i have gained any more power but it certainly sounds good.

unless you get it mapped to suit then you gain 2-3 pos horses but loose a fair bit of torque in my experience, when I had just a generic map I found the car pulled a lot harder with the std air box on, even with the OEM filter.

the sound is ace tho,

ok cheers, im geting a generic remap from jabba very soon, so would i be better off to change the panel filter for a good one and leave it at that,is it a noticeable loss and is it worth loosing the torques for that sound as nice as it is????

depends, I prefered the drive with the std box on, as it pulled harder,

Id just get a £35 pannel and smooth out the air box and leave it at that,

TBH unless you do the TIP there is no reall point as the TIP is narrow.

i always make my own using 2.5 intercooler pipe and a decent shrowded filter works a treat and the power output on the toysport one is errrm optimistic!!! ha ha
