Anyone know the type of glass used on mk1 Fabia door mirrors and costs ?

Featured Replies

Been fixing a few of the Fabia's problems today and one being the door mirrors. They're the electric, heated type. The problem I've found is on the glass's circuit. Both mirrors have the same problem. Probably due to age as the contacts were also a green/white colour. I did give the connections a good clean but the circuit tester was showing the faults on the mirrors themselves.

My question is what are the standard type of glass used for the mirrors ?

Does anyone know haw much Skoda dealers charge for them ?

I've seen some aftermarket ones on Ebay as well with clips (not the stick on type) for £32 delivered.

Hi mate, mirror glass from a mkIV golf or bora will also fit and has a nice blue tint.

2 birds one stone. Heated mirrors fixed, and a tidy subtle styling mod.

Cheerh for that. I forgot about the golf. The pre facelift mk1 Leon's glass will fit as well then.

Does anyone know the part numbers for the golf blue heated mirror glass ? My vw dealer wont supply them without a chassis or part number.
