I have a number of SD cards and micro SD cards for camera, car stereo (smaller than CD's) and phones.

I have been given a 4GB SDHC card that does not work in the camera or the car stereo.

Looking on tinternet there now appears to be fewer and fewer SD cards available and more and more SDHC cards and also SDHC class ??

So what's the difference and why is it that SDHC don'e work in some gadgets? Is it going to be a case of gadgets being made obsolete by the rapidly developing memory capabilities :(

Dont Forget the SDHC Class ??

The Class number denotes if it is a faster read/write speed. newer Tech will be able to tell you how fast it can read write, tally this up with the cards class, and you have fast tech.

Best way to describe this, When you take a photo on your digital Camera then the screen goes blank for a couple of seconds, this is the Camera writing the image onto the card, the newer tech which can take class 4 cards with a class 4 card, this blank screen will be shorter.
