Boot storage

Featured Replies

I have just picked up my FL VRs and i was a little surprised to find the CD changer hideaway door missing. Yes i know thsat the Bolero now handles the discs but it looks rather unfinished. Why did they not leave the door there like my old one (great for storing stuff) or copy the opposite side and install the net?

Has anyone done anything about this wasted space?

Skoda will happily sell you a storage box that fits there... Guess it's a cost cutting thing again...

I have just taken delivery of mine (Weds) and I thought something looked "odd" on that side !

This may be one answer to your question

If the fitments/specs are the same for a hatch/door/cover thing to be able to lock into place, why not try a breakers?

Strange, my FL Vrs has both doors on either side of the boot. Ask the dealer why yours is missing, they might order you one in.

Hmmm, my previous Octy had the Audience stereo head, so I have always had that space, handy for shoes, bags....! what I did notice was there was only 1 boot hook on the left  now that is penny pinching.

What country are you in? That's really curious if it's a UK car. My FL vRS doesn't have the door but I plan to buy the storage box for that space and it's handy to have the extra storage there for when I have the bike in the boot, as the forks/handlebars/seat can sometimes reach into that space.

Yeah,I need that bit of extra width so my golf clubs can fit in crosswise!

I got one of those & it doesn't look like that, it's a matt black not gloss & it's made of a canvas like material. It has two velcro fasteners on the back to attach it to the boot lining & velcro fastening for the lid. It's also not very big!

well after my above moan, I have just found this!!

Have to ask before someone else does.

Does it include the red paper bag???????????????

Arrgh.... Let me at 'im.... Let me at 'im....

Uk car so very strange. 59 plate delivered in Sep so maybe changed since then. I also have 2 boot hooks.

Can you get a door to cover there? Did any of the older spec cars have a door over that bit?

Dunno if i like any of the other options so far

OK, so on my old 2007 VRs the door was on the left and it covered the multi changer cradle etc (now missing on new VRs dues to Bolero storing 6 discs). Old VRs also had only 1 bag hook (i already decided i was going to buy another as they are very handy. Not sure what to do about the large hole now as it's really unuasable and Skoda missed a trick here (not really as they will sell youi a storage box).

will have to look at old VRs again to see how door fits in and as someone said try the breakers.

But i think they are a fiver to buy was in 2006 anyway<didn't read all of thread , and you have answered your own question > They have to put a bag on <they are spring loaded and you would hardly see it > The cover has two lugs of the same material which fit into two lines that have been cut into the base fabric

They're upto £6 in 2010, bit more than inflation there then :)
