Estate rear bumper bar - are there different ones?

I have just removed a towbar from our 2001 Fabia estate. There was, of course, no bumper bar so have tried ebay. There are 2 or 3 on there specifically for estates, but there seem to be 2 designs. One states '2001 inner bar' and that is a curved box beam with holes for fitting over studs in the bodywork. Another seems to have plates protruding from the bar itself where it fits over the studs, but this was from a 2003 model.

I have looked at the picture on the Vagcat and that shows the latter version, but gives a different part number for the estate version.

Anybody shed any light?
