Vehicle Inspection

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone :)

Now that I have had my first claim put in against insurance... I have an engineer coming to take a look at the car.

Anyone know what this involves, what they look at etc? Is it purely to check that the repair quote is telling the truth?

Seems that claiming on insurance is a mind bending experience.

Thanks,

Keoghan

PS. Thanks to all for the advice on MOT... replaced the indicator and passed :D

Have you declared any/all mods to them? If so no worries.

Generally they will just look at the area that has been damaged, and confirm what needs doing. But if you've got obvious mods that you haven't declared to your insurer, it might land you in trouble...

Sure.. thats all good then :)

Yep , its more to protect them from suspect garages who will put a whole load of parts on the bill that didn't need doing , and is standard procedure.
