It really doesn't seem to want to budge and is by far the weirdest looking aerial I have ever seen in terms of the pillar attachment. Normally with all my VAG cars, wife's Fabia included you just screw the aerial out, but on my Octy estate it's having none of it. When I screw it loosens then seems to come out on this stem and just sits there like its attached for good. Was thinking of putting in a nice uber rare Enfig that I have left over from my Golf but she doesn't seem to want to budge. I don't think the threads are damaged it just loosens, unhinges then stays put...very weird!! :wonder: :wonder: :wonder: :wonder:

mine does exactly the same thing i gave up with it as i did'nt want to damage it so would also like to find out whats occuring

It's got an anti-theft feature. You have to unscrew it as far as you can then use a bit of brute force to pull it out. Hold the mount part with your other hand if you're worried about pulling the whole lot off!

It stopped us haa!! Hmm, right I shall be back with my verdict!

It's that thought that you will deform your roof with the amount of force needed that stops ya lol.
