Help needed with engine bay wiring loom

Featured Replies

Help needed from some kind soul.

I've connected up the last few wires of the engine wiring loom on my 02 plate Octy vRS, but have one connector left over and can't see what I've missed. Can someone have a look at their car and let me know where a twin spade black connector goes which runs on the same part of the loom as the wiring to the secondary air pump. It comes off this branch near the starter motor. I'll get a picture up if that's any use,

Thanks in advance

If you had a part number on the plug, it would help me find out which ones it was on ETKA. :)

Also, your engine is AGU isn't it?

have you plugged in both knock sensors ????

show me a pic and i will tell you where it goes

p.s jas its an auq buddy

starter motor, oil pressure switch, N112, N249, cam chain tensioner...... there's lots of stuff down that side! Get a photo mate.

I forgot to reconnect the small plug to the starter motor when I changed it! Panick for a second when the car didn't start! Haha

p.s jas its an auq buddy

AGU is the 150hp one is it?

yep agu is the 150 but his one is an auq i know this as it was my engine lol

Well, going from pic on ETKA, that part of the loom splits off and goes down a bit, Then it branches off with a multi ended bit that does air meter, vacuum pump and secondary air pump

After this branch off, it goes down to 2 separate plugs which are a 2 pin connecting plug for the reverse light switch (goes on gearbox I assume?) and a 1 pin plug which goes on the starter motor. Is it the reverse light switch plug that you have left over, Lee?
