"Coil" warning light

Featured Replies

The coil light which comes on briefly after you turn the ignition on is flashing constantly after about one minute after the engine has been running. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDI 2001.

Start by checking the brake lights work. If not, replace the brake light switch. It sounds bizzare, but it's quick and easy to check, and honestly is how VAG warn diesel drivers of total brake light failure.

Spot on, thanks very very much. I've been to a couple of garages and no one knew what it was.

Thanks again and cheers
