Which boot mat for Octavia vRS hatchback...with CD changer?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get a boot mat for my Octavia '07 vRS hatch (with CD changer in boot) but it seems there are two different ones and I want to make sure I get the right one.

On the official Skoda Accessories website the two mats have part numbers ZGB1Z3061163 and ZGB1Z3072163A. These both have the same description: "Helps prevent loose items sliding around in the boot space. Can be used in conjunction with the boot net"

I've found these same mats on another site but with slightly different information:

- ZGB1Z3061163: Helps prevent loose items sliding around in the boot space. Can be used in conjunction with the boot net. Not suitable for vehicles with the false boot floor

- ZGB1Z3072163A: Helps prevent loose items sliding around in the boot space. Can be used in conjunction with the boot net. Suitable for Octavia Classic or cars without CD autochanger and boot net only

Now I'm assuming that, given those descriptions, the ZGB1Z3061163 is the one I should go for - but what's all this about a false boot floor?? I didn't think you could get such a think in an Octavia?

I think they are refering to the variable height floor that can be fitted in the estate or dealer fitted in the hatch. I thought the Octavia Classic was the old Mk 1 which is sold for taxis etc. This could be why it is a different fitment. Also in the Mk 1 the CD changer was actually bolted to the floor of the boot instead of in a cubby hole in the Mk2. Hence unless you have a variable height floor (sounds like you do not ) then the number you suggest is the one to go for.

Very useful info, thanks very much....

Guess it's time to pull the trigger on the ZGB1Z3061163! :D
