CarPC in Octavia II FL

Featured Replies

Anyone has a CarPC in their Octavia? I've been looking at something like this: http://www.szwaywell.com/prod_dtl.asp?id=503, but I'm not sure how good it is. I also assume that even if I'd mount it successfully, I couldn't get things like seat heating, parking sensors to show up on the screen. I am thinking about this instead of a Columbus because I'd be able to use iGO and other nav software and easily change maps and stuff. Obviously since it'd be a XP machine, there'd be some other advantages as well. Any thoughts?

iGO works on XP?

I guess there's promise in something like that system, but not sure I want my radio rebooting because it's automatically downloaded an update whilst in the centre of a city a don't know :)

I think you can run iGO on XP using an emulator for a Windows Mobile device, but I'm not sure. Anyway, you're probably right, I've investigated some more and I don't think it's worth the efforts on putting something like this in my car.
