Hi,

Ordered an Anthracite Grey vRS estate from Ian in Delmore Cars the other week: delivery is week 22 (groan). Was close choice between that and the hatch, which looks nicer but is less practical. Glad to have found a sensible forum for Skoda, as have found the Ford one for my current mondeo invaluable, saving me lots of time and money over the years. There are a couple of other forums out there which do not look nearly so good. So cheers All, speak soon,

LJR.

Welcome Ljr

I ordered an Octavia Scout 1.8TSI in Cappuccino 08/02/10 from Delmore, and it was built last week, is now at Emden( hope it is on a ship just arrived at Tyneside today).

I am sure you will find this site very friendly, and lots of useful information being shared

.I have had Nissan Xtrail's for last 8 years still need 4X4 but not SUV, so Scout is ideal solution with large boot.

Regards

Sounds great - you're on the home stretch to your new car now, and must be looking forward to it very much - I can't wait until June, having ordered mine on 31st March. They appear good value and highly specified cars and I hope owning one I will continue to think so. Did you trade in a vehicle- low trade offers aren't they?

I found using the Ford forum that I was able to collect more knowledge and specialist experience on the mondeo than the garages could compete with, so I could do a lot of the fixing myself, saving much money. I hope by buying a new car there will be fewer faults though it is always useful to share experiences.

Have you noticed how many skodas there are around here? Very many these days, especially the Fabia. Delmore must be doing well.

I am in Avoch.

Cheers for the note,

Laurie.

I traded my 2007 Xtrail Aventura and got the blue book price on trade in, plus a courtesy car until my car arrives because the could not wait on my car once they had given me a fixed price.they took it at the end of March before the tax was due..

.I am pleased with the service provided up to now .I hope is as good as my Nissan dealer and Nissan reliability which I used for 7 years.Time will tell.

The octavia Scout 1.8TSI is fantastic value for money, when you consider it is as good as an Audi Allroad or the Volvo XC70.

Hello and welcome.

Hi. So does all that extra gear on your car give you extra bang?

Cheers for the welcome.
