Featured Replies

as per title mine was pretty filthy so bit the bullet got the gasket (£6.03p) and had a go pretty simple :giggle:

undid the throttle body to smic hose, then undid the 4 allen bolts and pulled gently apart, didnt touch any wiring plugs they were left connected, removed old gasket squirted with plenty of carb cleaner rubbed clean with a decent rag and hey presto all clean. fit gasket tighten bolts fit pipe turned key to on and listened for it re aligning once it had stopped started car up

something i need to have a go at me thinks

I'm sure I only paid 69p for my gasket, looks much better after a good clean. When I did mine I got my missus to hold the accelerator down do I could get under the flap.

I did mine a few weeks ago, I paid £2.03 for the gasket, that was from an AUDI main dealer lol

thats a bit excessive for a gasket is it not?

i paid less then a couple of quid from main skoda dealers

Your ain't that dirty there mate

I've seen them bogging before now

TBO yours didn't look that dirty? I have seen some really bad ones (mine included the first time I did it) the good news is once you have done it once it is a really easy thing to do and you probably wont need the gasket :D
