Hello,

I've just had the inoperative air con on my MkI 1.9 Tdi 53 plate Elegance looked at by a specialist and he seems to think that the control box (black box bolted just under the battery shelf) is not working. Question is, would I be able to swap this with the one out of my brother's Bora? At a glance they look identical but will they be different as his is manual and mine has climate control.

Any help appreciated and just in case mine is dead if anyone has a spare please let me know!

I answer my own question - yes it will, they are exactly the same part. My air con still doesn't work with his control unit in but his does with mine so that rules that one out... Back to the drawing board!
