Bolero - mobile phone audio in - 12 pin plug

Featured Replies

Hi,

can anyone advise the best place where I can source a 12pin plug to suit the mobile phone handsfree kit audio in on a Bolero headunit?

its the same style plug as used for the aux line in, but sits along side it.

I installed on old Nokia CK7W into my MY09 vRS on the weekend, but speaker audio into headunit with car audio mute functionality would be a better way to go and sound clearer than the poxy nokia speaker muffled behind the climate control panel.

hope someone can point me in the right direction

cheers

Drew

You can get one from your dealer, its costs less than £1 if I recall. There are 2 parts, a holder and the block itself and it slides simply into the quadlock connector. If you have a CD changer then you should already have everything you need, except the spade connections which simply slide in.

Read though this OEM kit install and look at the end to see how thats connected to the car.

and also this to see the wiring pinouts on your headunit (at bottom of page)

The black shell will be the same however the Green & Blue bits are keyed to stop them being inserted into the wrong slot.
