Mk1 vrs estate rare car?

Featured Replies

Not seen one of these that was not a cop car. Only sold between 2003 and 2005 so i 'd imagine it's a rare car. Many owners of them on here? Wouldn't mind one myself at a later date: many owners on here?

I had one and it was a brilliant car, but the MKII is even better :)

I got one and can't fault it very practical and fast

Mine's the bestest one :)

I also have one, I have only seen another 2 since 2.5 years of owning mine.

I agree with Rob his is the best vRS estate I have come across - pity its red and not black. LMAO.

The only thing I don't like is they come with 16" Spiders and not 17".

got one meself and there is so much room in the boot there aint much u cant fit in there

and for what does not fit in the boot, god invented towbars (/parking sensors) and roofbars. Shame mine is only a TDi, but I do too many self-funded miles to afford a vRS :'(

Bikes, bags of rubble, 15 sheets of chipboard (that was pushing my luck I think for when I reversed back onto my drive!), a trailer chassis (when in bits), scaffolding & associated planks. Ladders did not fit in though :giggle: so they went on the roof. Garden clippings go in the trailer so as not to fill the car with with wet/damp things (or spiders....!) (or they used to go in the gf's Felicia when she was not looking!)

Not in the market for one until probably next year when I return from a stint abroad but would love a standard, unchipped up low miles car then. Will come back to you guys then but as I say they don't appear often.

Not that rare around Edinburgh. I was spoiled for choice when I nbought mine last year (got a 53 plate with 33k on the clock). Viewed 4 before I bought mine.

It is an amazing car. Fast enough to kee a smaile on my face. averages 35mpg mixed driving and a boot big enough to put a 2 seat sofa in (ikea ektorp if you're curious).

Does need a rear arb to get the best from it though.

I've had mine 3 years. It's had a lot of niggly problems and this year the bills have been eye watering. To cap it all I've just discovered that I've got the notorious rusty tail gate problems. I wouldn't recommend it myself I'm afraid.

Mine was an 05 plate - Skoda had already introduced the Octy Mk II (on 54 plates I think) although not in vRS spec.

However, they had further discounted all Mk I models, so mine had a list price (and company car P11D value) of £13,300.

OK - thats five years ago now - but compared to the £19,980 list price of the current Octavia vRS estate 2.0 TFSI it was amazing value.

Here's mine. Not an ex-cop car and been great to own over the past year. Took a while to find a good one tho but worth it
