Amp AWG/Gauge cables

Featured Replies

(cant believe im asking this as I should know it but cant find answer after some googling).

Right! This is with reference of Subwoofer cables. I've misplaced my RCA and Power (annoyingly buying whole kit would be cheaper than separately)

10 awg is @ around 250-300w rms, 8 is between 430-500w, 6 awg is rare, so 4 is 1000-1300w. (RMS)

So why all the sellers are saying 10 gauge is 1000w, 8g is 1000-1500w, 4g is 2000w?
