I'm a very happy bunny

I joined the forum quite a while ago now, around March 2006 when I was about to get my hands on my (then) new company car, a (not suprisingly from my username) 1.9TDI Octavia Laurin & Klement in Black Magic, and I absolutely loved it. Only problem I had was towards the end of the lease when the turbo went and sucked all of the oil up and out of the engine one night doing 80mph down the M1. Was sorted by Skoda, but as it had just gone out of its warrenty period, they stung my company for 50% of the cost of replacing it all. (Glad I didn't have to foot the bill!!)

Anyhow, the day came when it went back to the lease company and I was gutted to see it go. Despite having a £20k Volvo V50 to enjoy as my next car, I still longed for the L&K back.

Well, recently, I find myself in a position where the company is now letting people opt out of the company car scheme, and so after much late night car surfing on the old internet, I have today just put a deposit on an 09 Octy VRS 2.0 CR 170bhp in silver, with just 2000 miles on the clock.

I am sat here grinning like a loony just counting the days down till I pick it up, probably next week sometime.

Took it for a test drive earlier today and after the 105bhp L&K a few years ago, and the 130odd bhp of the volvo (which isn't slow!) the VRS felt absolutely gorgeous to drive. I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of my time looking for police cars in the mirrors in this car, lol

I can't wait!!
