Front shocker leaking been quoted £135 each side, was advised to get both done although one is ok, any views

Always change dampers (and springs, brake pads and discs) in axle sets.

Out of interest how old is your car . Mine just out of warranty 29,000 miles 3.5years old dropped its fluid from one shock . Full skoda dealer service history . Skoda wouldn't pay . £250.00 fully fitted for pair at skoda . Shocks were only about £90.00 labour was the rest .

Interesting that the new shocks were gas !!!!

Quite dissapointed with skoda in rejecting claim for so little mileage .....

Best to replace as a pair to keep the handling balanced.

Most shocks these days (including the standard ones) are gas pressurised. Its to stop foaming and cavitation of the fluid when the shock is working hard.
