R32/cupra/s3 brake upgrade fits 17'' wheels ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've bean reading this forum for some time now but I haven't posted until now.

I own an octy vrs 2.0tfsi which has 7,5j x17'' et 45 team dynamics pro race 1.2 and I want to upgrade the front brakes to the R32/Cupra/S3 ones.

So my question is will they fit the 17'' wheels or will I need 18'' wheels?

Thank's for your time and for the great info I found on this forum

Alex

There ain't much room on 18 inch rims so i'm not sure if they will fit 17s but someone will tell you.

I've got 17" rims and should be getting a kit soon

They will fit 17" rims. With a 7.5" inch wheel. Normal vRS wheels are only 7" so you will be fine

They fit perfectly under VW 17" Monzas on a Golf GTi which are 7.5" wide.

I've got spacers for my my wheels just because they are 7" but you will be fine

These brakes are fantastic btw  they will pull you out your seat in anything other than a race harness :giggle:

I was up doing the Seat Trackstar thing at knockhill (some basic race driving tuition in a leon cupra) and i got comments about my braking (thanks to KenONeil & ScoobyChris for teaching me how to brake  ) i was so blown away by these brakes. No fade and i had the tread blocks on the tyres squirming quite a bit :giggle: not to mention pulling myself and instructor out our seats

I want these brakes on my car!

Thank's a lot guys for the info. I can't wait anymore I am going to audi first thing tomorrow morning.

I would look around.

I got my front setup for £295. They often come up for sale over on the mk5golfgti.co.uk forum.

They will be about £7-800 from Audi
