Just my luck when i thought the car was running perfect inside and out and i now have an annoying problem which has happened twice.....the seat cable that adusts forwards/backwards has decided not to function !!...luckily it has stopped where i usually position myself, but for my wife...she now needs a pair of those 70s platform shoes to reach the peddles

Can anyone tell me if this is an easy fix or if the parts are expensive?....as i'm getting it in the neck as my wife drives the car 5 evenings a week and moves the seat to get in and out around 90 times a week!! Any help on this would be much appreciated..the last two fixes were done under warranty...and the the car is now out of warranty, so i have to get it done asap

The cable is pretty easy to remove with the seat removed.

I have a brand new (removed from a new unused seat base) cable and fixing pictured below (no part No. stamped on it), if it's the same and you are interested PM me.
