superb tdi 140

Featured Replies

Just my luck when i thought the car was running perfect inside and out and i now have an annoying problem which has happened twice.....the seat cable that adusts forwards/backwards has decided not to function !!...luckily it has stopped where i usually position myself, but for my wife...she now needs a pair of those 70s platform shoes to reach the peddles :giggle:

Can anyone tell me if this is an easy fix or if the parts are expensive?....as i'm getting it in the neck as my wife drives the car 5 evenings a week and moves the seat to get in and out around 90 times a week!! Any help on this would be much appreciated..the last two fixes were done under warranty...and the the car is now out of warranty, so i have to get it done asap

The cable is pretty easy to remove with the seat removed.

I have a brand new (removed from a new unused seat base) cable and fixing pictured below (no part No. stamped on it), if it's the same and you are interested PM me.
