Sticking to dash

Featured Replies

My Furby came with a parrot kit installed and found that the bracket that was stuck to the dash didnt stick :dull:

I have tried loads of things, to stick it down, including No More nails tape with no luck!

:swear:

What can i use??? :wall:

if the dash has been cleaned with any kind of silicone or similar that will make adhesion almost imposs...try cleaning the area to be used with a bit lighter fuel or petrol

tried it, clean, free of grease, still fell off...

try an inch sq piece of the tape thats used to stick numberplates as that is very good for adhesion..

screw the fecker on lol

Make sure you drill a pilot hole first!

But on a more serious note.. Have you tried to use the bracket on other windows? i.e. determine if its broken bracket or silly window.. :smirk: (or silly person)

Dont want holes in the dash (if/when it is removed)

Lol! Silicon dimples to hold up the parrot in place........

Is it this bit you can't get to stick?

If so, mine kept falling off and I got so annoyed with it I ended up supergluing the damn thing on. Doesn't move an inch now! I don't bother with the phone holder as I can access all my contacts through that and dial numbers etc so I just leave the phone in my pocket.

I'll post a pic of where mine is if that helps, but its just below the two heater vents in the centre.

I stuck mine just to the right of the steering wheel, just out of the way of the indicator stalk. Great place as it's easy to reach and read while driving. Oh and it stuck fine with the adhesive pad that it came with!

Came with a stupid bracket that meant it can be screwed to the dash (placed atm so it goes between the clocks and a-pillar)

Im going to Gut it tomorrow and stick it above the radio over one of the blank switches. hopefully it sticks there!
