sqeaky front windows

Featured Replies

now its summer and the squeaky windows have come back, I remember reading a thread last year about it and got some silone spray and sprayed it down the sides of the windows (at the edges of the glass hoping for it to flow down the guide rails).

still can't do it, I've now nearly used a can of spray with no differences in sound

how am I to get to the guide rails of the window if when you remove the door card theres another metal panel rivteted on.

the sound is driving me mad, its so loud.http://briskoda.net/forums/public/style_extra/post_icons/icon7.gif

please help

I'd nip into a local windscreen company and ask them , there is the possibilty that your inner door card does not come off now like the mk V golfs where the outer door skin is removed to access the window mechanism , its a tricky job and there is the risk of putting a lovely crease in your door skin ! (if you tackle it urself ) the removal of the door handle is a bi*** :o

Your probably looking at a small labour charge thats it :)
