Service Advisory

Featured Replies

VRS has just been for a 20k service at Awesome (bargain at £117) and go the following advisory:

'exhaust blow from manifold to turbo or possibly turbo to downpipe - further inestigation needed'

Not had chance to do any further invetigation yet but does anyone have any idea what it could be? new gaskt needed maybe?

any help much appreciated.

cheers

Either that or the bolts holding turbo to manifold or turbo to downpipe need tightening.

HI

Think it could possibly be the gasket

We dont like to say for definate , just incase it isn`t

Its hard , but could just be the gasket

The gasket is not expensive , its the labour

Sorry

Hi Sarah

Is it a big job or something i could do myself?

Thanks

Hi Sarah

Is it a big job or something i could do myself?

Thanks

The main problem is the studs

If one of those break...... not good

But give it a go if you like , skin on back of your hands will probably be lost........

But hey , that will grow back

Sarah

not a hard job buddy to do you can do both the turbo to mannifold and turbo to down pipe

make sure you spray the nuts with alot of freeing spray and leave for a few hours

if they dont snap then 1 hour at most

if they snap then as sarah says not good ( royal pain in the arris ) will req stud remover if stud showing and lots of heat.
