Roof Aerial

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to swap out the roof aerial on the Octy estate ?

Bought the car in July only discovered the aerial was bust a couple weeks ago, it's been snaped off at some point (probably taken thru a carwash without being removed) and just been smothered with glue and jammed back into position (but it aint making proper contact) :(

I had to change the aerial on my previous car (Astra MK4) for a similar reason, I think the mountings on all these "bee-sting" types are the same. You'll need to remove the trim/head lining from the inside of the car and get to the underside. I bounght a new aerial/boot/seal before tackling the job so I could see what to expect before spending a whole day doing the job.

Not sure how long it'll take in the Octy but the Astra took bloody ages (most of the time putting the thing back together without wrinkles/ripples in the head lining.
