What does your graph look like?

Featured Replies

After a couple of months messing around with turbos and such like I got thinking about remaps quite a lot.

A large number of people on here have remaps on what are essentially identical cars. However, I've got the same map on the same car but with a new turbo. The two graphs show the difference in results before the new turbo and after. The delivery is markedly different as is how the car drives. It pulls much harder now towards the red line where before it used to run out of puff earlier.

I was wondering if any of you have graphs to show of standard cars with either a generic map or a custom map? We talk about maps as though they give us the same results, but I guess that isn't the case at all. If mine can be so different with a simple replacement part, how do yours react to maps from different people?

Here are my two graphs to start the ball rolling.....

p.s. cheezemonkhai, note there is no personal info on these this time.

The 217bhp is the before and 209bhp is the after. I'm intrigued to see any old graphs people have lying around to see how the different maps give different delivery of what is roughly the same BHP.

Wheel horsepower :)

Thanks to both kenny and Rob for the graphs. It seems as though our peak bhp comes in at roughly the same time, but your torque peaks about 1000rpm earlier than mine does now. It used to be like that, but has now shifted for some reason. How could the new turbo make such a difference then?
