Contacting Skoda UK to ask about my build week

Featured Replies

My DtD stealer is being worse than useless when it comes to replying to queries about my build week. I've read some people saying Skoda UK have given them confirmation on their build week.

Have you rang them, or just emailed asking for confirmation? As the only contact channel seems to be the "contact us" form here: http://www.skoda.co.uk/aboutskoda/contactus-1.aspx

I used DtD at the end of 2009. Once they passed me through to the dealer, I was given an indication of when it would arrive (in that instance 14 to 16 weeks). The dealer never called me which left me probably like you do; but every time I called them I got a provisional build date which matched the original date they had given me. In the end (as you can see from a post I made back in Dec 09 or Jan 10) all was well and from order to delivery was 15 weeks - bang in the middle of what they said.

Doesn't really answer your question, but other then a lack of communication from the dealer, everything did go as I wanted at the outset.

My last response from the dealer was that it's now 24 weeks, not the original 12-14, but "that may change".

They're being somewhat elusive/useless, so I'm thinking that as others here have had good reponses from Skoda UK, that would be a better avenue.

Tell them you'll cancel the order and go to a manufacturer that can actually supply you with a car in a timely manner, when I did that after my build week kept slipping I got a call 10 minutes later telling me they'd mis-read the system and the build week was actually 4 weeks earlier than they'd told me on the previous call emoticon-0136-giggle.gif
