Mix feature on Bolero

Featured Replies

I know there was a big topic on this elsewhere, but thought it would be prudent to give this its own topic.

I think it has been widely reported that the mix function does not support subfolders.

Well I've found a way that does.

Make sure that the setup screen shows that subfolder mixing has been enabled (I have this feature on my Week 13 vRS - I can't recall the other thread i.e. did they have this feature and it just flat out didnt work)

Put a single MP3 in the root of your SD card, and then just have a single subfolder for each album.

Play this single MP3 file, and hit mix. For me, this successfully mixes and randomly plays out of each folder when you skip tracks.

Fully documented here already: http://briskoda.net/...__hl__sd%20card

Please don't get me started on what I'd describe as the biggest pile of cack for a ICES, namely the Bolero radio! emoticon-0183-swear.gif

Raglits already posted my method.

So ok now i'm lost :D

Oh well, mods can lock this thread, it is redundant

Best, easiest option? Install an old Ipod on the MDI socket or MP3 player on AUX socket & set it to Shuffle. Job Done! emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I used to have a Stream in my last car... the Bolero is on another planet compared to that!
