Hi Guys,

I'm new on here and looking for a bit of advice. I've had to cancel my order for my new Audi A3 company car due to horrendous delays and am now hoping to get a 1.6 TD Octavia Elegance (also the spec is a lot better and it's costing £100 a month less!!!!). So which options should i be looking to add from the extras list, any essentials? Also, which colour is the nicest, sportiest and non taxi looking?! Considering aqua blue, storm blue, satin grey or anthracite grey. Anyone point me in the directions of pictures of octavias in such colours?

Not wanting to sound negative but have you checked the build time for the Octavia. There have been reports of long time delays on the 1.6 CR engine so may be worth a check since you seem to be time constrained. The Antracite is a nice colour and there are quite a few pictures on here of grey Octavias (mainly VRS ones) I believe there are pics on a recent thread titled my new VRS or something like that.

I find rear parking senors a real help on the hatch version since rear visibility is a little limited due to the high back end. Other than that the car is reasonably well specced so no need to go mad on the options unless there is something there you particularly like. The maxidot screen looks nice but with the new facelifted LCD screen it is not really needed now although it does give you access to a few features not available on the LCD (ie can turn on/off anti hijack function etc.).

Delivery time was about 14 weeks in total though but really pleased with the car.

Anthracite Grey..No contest

I have an anthracite grey elegance hatch and its really nice. However, I have often thought the flat red colour was really nice on photo's of Octy's I have since seen and might have been tempted by this so I could spend the money saved on some more options I don't know if I'm that bold though

I have to agree the grey is lovely
