Ordered Antiroll bar

Featured Replies

Well after my trip to the lake district then a blast round the evo triangle. My car was lacking something so after some debating i have ordered the whiteline 22 rear anti roll bar, Hopefully it should making cornering a hell of a lot better. What tools will i need to fit it?

Yep you will benefit from this mod very well if handling is what you are after. One of the best mods in that dept. From a fitting perspective very easy. It comes with instructions and a few pics.

only General tools are needed.

Things like, Trolley jack , axle stands, a few sockets, perhap a spare trolley jack to hold up the ARB to the rear beam which will help fitting.

Did mine in less than a hour.

few tips.

Grind off the excess thread left of the u clamps so only 10/15mm is showing. reason for that is there is a lot of excess thread left behind that if you catch it whilst working under car(like my head did) it is somewhat painfull.

Also you get 2 box sections in the kit that fit the the rear lower shock mounts. Rotate those so the hole in the box section is vertical and not horizontal as in the pics. It will make the ARB stronger and not flex at the box section on hard cornering.

I have a DIY guide somewhere and will post it if it helps.

Posting would be helpfull, I had one on my track prep'd ignis sport and that was very easy to install. I got it for £160 new which i think is quite good.

I was looking at getting one of these, let us know what you think once its installed.

That's mine. Made a massive difference until I fitted coilovers and now the ARB seems to be the weak part of the link.

If you're planning on upgrading your other suspension components and drib=ving hard I would get thicker than the 22mm bar

I'll be upgrading mine to 28 rear and 25 front fairly soon
