Hi guys sorry if this has been discussed before but i dont know what the part is called ! Im having a noise from the engine as i can describe as an electric clicking noise like a spark ? My link it is the black box above the washer bottle and below the coolant with the wire and tube going to it (sorry for my crap description ) any help greatly appreciated Thanks

It's the charcoal cannister and mine makes a clicking noise also. I think it's normal to do this and I've never had a problem.

Yes it is normal for it to click, nothing to worry about.

If you touch the top of it you can feel the valve inside it which is doing the clicking. As long as that is vibrating when it's clicking then all is working perfectly.

Errr mine ain't clicking, haven't felt it though so gonna check tomorrow!!

Is it normal not to click?? Engine seems fine

It clicks more after you've been running the engine hard, it is sucking in petrol fumes and neutralising them with the charcoal inside the canister. I don't really notice mine when it's cold but its very obvious after a bit of hard driving.

I went to look at a bora before buying the vrs, that one was clicking like hell from cold and never stopped even after the test drive and leaving running for 20 mins
