TDI 110 service

Featured Replies

Can anyone reccomend what i need for my service this year, The car has 185,000 miles and do about 10,000 ish a year, isit just oil change, filter? pollen filter? brake fluid? the whole lot?

Also can you reccomend a good oil for my car asim not sure which will work best for it?

Cheers...

Do you have the service light come on at fixed intervals or is it variable? Mine's the variable (longlife) and I know I have to put the fully synthetic stuff in mine. I looked in Halfrauds the other day using their flip cards and it was a £21.99 for a 2l bottle, I daresay you can get it cheaper elsewhere.

Check with the dealers. I'm pretty sure I paid under £30 for 5 litres of VAG longlife oil when I bought mine last year.

wow, under £30 for longlife is a good deal, sure I pay much more for mine and I get my oil from one of the site sponsors!

As for what to service, I am not sure as I do mine on variable (currently at 166k on to 110TDI).

Mobil #1 "esp" 5W-30 long life oil ( VAG spec 507 ) from ASDA at £32 for 5 litres . Enough for one oil change and enough left over for top-ups .
