Octavia Scout - Maxi-Dot

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the Maxi-Dot comes as standard on the Scout?

The brochure suggests it doesn't but the dealer says it does although doesn't seem to know what it's for!

Grateful to hear from any Scout owners who know for sure.

Thanks.

My reading of the brochure was that it is not standard on the Scout.

When I ordered my Scout I specified the Multi Function Steering Wheel (MFSW) which includes Maxi-dot as well as controls for Maxi-dot and the stereo on the steering wheel.

Thank you Richard,

Your rsponse is very helpful.

My confusion came about because I have ordered a Scout with MFSW and it has arrived at the garage without this option.

The Sales Manager wants me to take the car and has told me that MFSW isn't a useful option anyway as the Maxi-dot is fitted to the Scout as standard and can be controlled by the indicator stalk.

I am hoping that the car can be reordered (at the agreed price) with the wheel.

Many thanks,

Just get them to retro-fit the parts you want, much quicker than waiting for another car IMO.

Hi Keith,

I did ask about the garage fitting the MFSW but apparantly it can't be done (without the risk of constant niggles and loss of some functionality).

Thanks,

Maxi-dot isn't standard on the Scout. It comes as an option with the MFSW, either with or without bluetooth as requested. The dealer is telling porkies I fear.
