Technical Subwoofer Question

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have an amp which gives the normal red and white male phono connection. My HU however only has one female phono socket input (import).. I've plugged one in atm, it works.. but I think the sub is being a bit unresponsive and not quite sharp..

Would the solution to be getting a 2-1 phono adaptor? I assume both connections together will increase the voltage which will kick higher +ve and -ve thus better response..?  ?

Or is it simply me getting the settings not correct? I already LPF the signal to sub 80 hz on the HU and around 75hz on the amp and capped the lower end at ~30hz..

Any help would be great thanks!

I would of thought a 2-1 adaptor would do the job, not 100% sure though, worth a go I guess seeing as they are pretty cheap :)
