Fiscon and iPOD Quest

Featured Replies

Dear,

I installed Fiscon the Bolero and I am very pleased with the work.

Fiscon now with version 1.83 software.

My next question is:

What do I need to tell that would have MDI interface?

My Octavia 2010y is now only AUX but I would like to MDI should be able to control the iPod.

I know that there is a way, we just need little help with my application.

Thanks and cheers B)

IMO save you money and forget the MDI.

Plug the iPod (I assume that you have an iPhone if you have a Fiscon) into the aux socket in the centre console and just control the iPod or iPhone music from the screen of the device. If you use the MDI interface the iPod or iPhone goes in the glove box where you can't reach it and you are stuck with the slow and very clunky (compared the Apples) interface on the Bolero. It's horrible if you have a lot of music an want to sort through it quickly. The only real advantage of the MDI that I can see is that it charges the iPod / iPhone whilst it's connected but that is easily fixed with a cigarette lighter charger if you want one.

If you really want to use the Bolero screen just buy a 8 or 16GB SDHC card and put your music on that. It's much cheaper than the MDI.

Yes, you're right ... I inquire the whole "dance" around and under the MDI full cost. :dull:
