Another Hallo and help

Featured Replies

Just wanted to say hi and hoped someone might be able to help. I have got a 3 year old 1.9 diesel Octavia Elegance which I bought 4 month's ago. It's developed a hesitancy when accelerating, especially in third gear doing 30mph, it feels as if it's missing for a second or two before it gets going, the annoying thing is that it doesn't do it all the time, and seems to be more when it's warm but I'm not too sure about that, being summer it warms up so quickly, but it also misses occasionally on a cruise. It feels to me as if there is a fuel feed problem. It doesn't register as a fault either on the dashboard or with a diagnostic test. I've just had the air and fuel filters changed and it's still doing it. The Skoda garage I took it to said they road tested it and found nothing wrong. The car is still under a dealers warranty but I'm about to use it as a Driving School car which will invalidate said warranty. I'm reluctant to throw more money at it and not get to the bottom of the problem. I'd like to be sure it's not something that's going to get worse and cost a great deal to put right. I've begun to use the higher grade Diesel, and while there is more power, the 'miss' to me is more noticeable. This is more annoying than anything else but every time it happens it's a worry. Any thoughts? Apart from this I think it's one of the best cars I've ever owned.

Welcome to the forum, you will get more responses to your questions if you post them in the Octavia II owners section, hope you get it sorted quickly :hi:
