Wheel Cleaning- but paint peeling

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. On my new fabia vRS the wheels have been painted antracite but in places the paint is starting to peel a bit, normally put some wheel cleaner stuff and rinse off with the water etc, just wondering if theres a "softer" way of cleaning them to reduce the chances of my paint coming off. Will get them refurbed at one point!

Just clean the wheels & apply a wheel sealant like Jetseal109, poorboys wheel sealant or planet polish wheel sealant. Then all you need to do Is just wash the alloys with normal shampoo with out having to apply wheel cleaners with every wash.

As for wheel cleaners use something like Bilberry wheel cleaner as It Isn't acidic.

+1 for sealing. I only wash the faces and spokes of mine with good quality car shampoo and a microfibre mitt. I only use a brush on the very inside (that I can't reach with the mitt).
