Bolero same footprint as MFD2?

Featured Replies

HI folks,

Considering seeing if I can pick up a Bolero to replace the Stream HU in my 06 Oct vRS, just wondering if it's possible to get the required replacement surround, as I'm not sure if the Bolero was ever fitted in a car of this age, with just the basic climatic controls.

This (really handy) site has a part no. for the MFD2 with climatic: http://www.octavia-vrs.com/technical/mfd2.html (run by someone on here I think, been very handy already, thanks)

but I'm wondering (as the thread title) if that would fit the Bolero, or if there's definitely one available that would?

Cheers,

Chris.

Looking at the pictures of the Bolero, it seems it's the same shape as the Stream -- wider at the top than at the bottom. So I would think the fascia surround for the Stream would be the same one for the Bolero.

Thanks Mike.

After a bit more research, it looks like there are two versions of the Bolero, one for the Superb and one for the Octavia:

Seems bizarre to do that, but there you go.

So as you say, if I can find the Octy version for sale I should be sorted!
