After my first service, I took a car load of SWMBO relatives out for a meal. On the way home a loud (to me) knocking noise appeared to be coming from the steering column area. Happening at steady speeds and not particulary on bumps.Foreign holidays in a couple of weeks, stress levels soared.....

Eventually , by elimination and remembering what I'd done, found it was the 12v socket blanking cap which I'd put in the locker under the radio. Whew.
