First Post and Good News for Me

Well after a long time waiting it looks like my order for the replacement to my current company car will be put through and I'll be on the waiting list for a vRS estate CR TDi with:

MDI

Xenons

second boot floor

auto dimming mirror and auto lights/wipers etc

Its going to have a relativity hard life, the Octavia Elegance its replacing has gone over the 100K miles in four years and it doesn't look like slowing down on that front as well as towing my twin axle trailer.

So its good for me (or at least I hope so) and hello to the rest of the 'Briskoda' brigade.

Excellent vehicle choice and welcome along mate.

welcome 100k in 4 years :o enjoy

Welcome Ian

Welcome Ian. Just checking your spec. Looks like you have forgotten the spare. They don't come with a spare and jack / tools as standard now. So a £50'ish option not to be missed.

Thanks for the shout but its a company car and I have reached my limit........ to the spare has to go, we have good coverage through work on the AA front and the last couple of times I have had to change a wheel by the side of the road I struggled to get the wheel off the hub (Ally to Steel is never the best of plans) so I'll leave it to the recovery if the can cant sort it.

If there is any way that you could put your hand in your pocket, it would be worth doing it for the spare wheel.

Do you have ANY liability on replacing a tyre if damaged?

Think, if you do have to use the can of filler, the tyre cannot be repaired. If you have damaged it (by mistake) a new tyre would cost you a lot more, where if it is a simple nail, it will be much cheaper.

this is my second skoda as a company car and the last covered 166,000 miles in three years, it had the 90 bhp 1.9 tdi engine and apart from a gearbox lol, it ran fine, well dont do as much now but still covering 1,000 miles a week easily, there a great workhorse.
