2nd warranty claim - Door protection strips

Hi ya:

59 plate Octavia with 5,000 miles on the clock.

Had the drivers external door protective strip replaced under warranty about 4 weeks ago as it was falling off - no glue. Now the front passenger door is doing the same. Took it to the dealer tosday who immediately accepted it as a warranty claim.

As far as I can see the sticky areas on the protecticve strips which are meant to fix it to the door have a totally inadequate amount of glue applied. As a result the protective strip just peels away from the door

Annoying but not a big deal. But for it to happen twice raises a question in my mind - is there a bad batch out there? Might be worth checking yours.

BTW this car has always ben washed by hand so its not down to an automatic washer causing damage.
