favorit mk1 to mk2? parts anywhere?

Featured Replies

Hi

First of all im new to the forum and new owner to a skoda favorit and i have already read some interesting stuff.

Now is it possible to change the interior of my 90 favorit to the mk2 black version? And any suggestions about where to shop online for parts?

Im also looking for the instruments gauges since i have a clock instead of a rev counter. And both the clock and odometer dont work.

Hi and welcome. I believe the interiors from mk1 to mk2 would be a straight swap, although to save hassle rewiring the switches I would see if the switch panels can be unscrewed from the brown panels and screwed into the black ones and the black caps put on top (as the plugs might be different). Also I believe the switches for the indicators and wipers would need some work as I think the plugs and sockets changed on those too.

I'm not sure if www.jorily.com would ship to Malta. I seem to remember there was someone based in Malta who had something to do with Skoda parts over at http://www.skoda-forum.com/ (I could be wrong, hopefully I'm not :))

Ill send jorily.com an email since they dont have what i want listed. And ill be checking the forum after work.

Anyone else would like to confirm the mk1 to mk2 compatibilty? I donf really wanna waste money. The most thing i would like to change are the door cards. Do i need to ask for a specific year to be compatible or are they all the same after 93?

Hi fellow malti, I have done the black interior swap,I am afraid that you will have to find some doors, as the door card clip holes, door handle and arm rest potions are completely different, also the dashboard chip must be swapped onto your new display, for me it fit into the newer but you have to switch the fuel and engine temp gauges by pulling the needles and inserting your newer pictures and needles into the old ones, the rest you can keep, mine did not have a clock but came from factory with a rev counter, the rev counter has 3 wires I don`t know how many wires the ones that came out with clocks has if there is three its most likely its just a case of a switch, maybe someone here can confirm this, best to be certain or you will end up with a weird favorit interior with those old clocks, you will also have to drill two holes at the front and another two holes at the rear and insert plugs for the foot trims and rear quarter panel trims as the newer have different clip position for those two pieces of trim, the rest will go in perfectly.

For parts you don`t have a problem ask jorily or go to Aces at Fgura he has absolutely everything, almost anyways.......,for skoda favorits/felicia`s hear is his contact info-Tel:21697646
