Retro Fit Cruise Control

Featured Replies

I hope to retro fit cruise contril to my VRS in the coming weeks.

I checked which Steering Wheel Control Module number I have and its 1K0-953-549-BC. According to Ross Tech(link below) there may be bugs in my control module which doesn't allow Cruise Control Retrofitting. Has anyone with this module had this problem retro fitting cruise control before or have people with this module successfully retro fitted cruise control. I would like to find out this before I get the parts needed.

Also,My car is December 2006, am I right in assuming the wire should already be installed??

Ross Tech-Steering Wheel Control Module Versions

Thanks

Mine has the same module and it worked fine and wire was not needed, see my thread

I tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full.

I saw in one of your previous posts you have a Cruise Control Instructions PDF from your cruise control install, would you mind sending it on to me if you still have it as I need the coding instructions for VCDS?

My email is [email protected]

Thanks

I'm afraid i forgot how to do it, it was a while ago lol.

Ya read of that earlier on, my problem is your engine etc uses long coding while mine uses the short coding. I'm sure its something simple!

Thanks for your help!!
