Bolero Unit Code

Featured Replies

Hi,

How do you get the code for the bolero unit I’ve looked in my manuals and it’s not there is this normal?

Or do you need to get it from the dealers and is there charge??

Cheers

You shouldn't need one if the unit has been in your car from new? It will have been coded for you already.

If not you can usually get the code by submitting the unit serial number and some vehicle ownership proof. It's usually at the dealership's discretion whether they charge, and how much. It will, after all, take them time to look the code up for you.

Hi,

i want to buy a used bolero system for my FL Octavia, the system was fitted in another FL octavia, the owner is providing me the security card with the pin,

now to install the used bolero in my car the skoda dealer is telling me that i need the security code & i have to hook up my car to skoda security system online,

is that true or do i have to just type in the security code that the previous owner of the bolero system is providing, is it a headache to use a bolero system in my car from a previous octavia?

thanks..

Untrue. You just need the four digit pin code from the vendor and the bolero will work just fine
